Each year I go to either the PA homeschool convention (CHAP) or eastern Ohio's convention (CHEO) and look at scads of curriculum. Every glossy new book or shiny science kit draws me in to see, touch or listen to the vendor's promise that This is the best program available! Guaranteed to work for every child! Works for multiple children! With different learning styles! Yada yada yada.
Of course, like any streetwise homeschool mama, I do as much research as I can ahead of time, browsing blogs and curriculum review sites, weighing the pros and cons of each product. But I'm a visual learner so it really does help me to be able hold books in my hand and see what's what. And while I could write a whole post (and probably will) about every subject selection, Today I'm just going to post our curriculum choices for this school year.

When buying curriculum I always look for the best deal. Some books I was able to buy secondhand from a fellow homeschool mom; others I bought new from MFW at the CHEO convention; the rest I found at Rainbow Resource. I do also search Ebay, Alibris, CBD and Amazon.
