This year we've been doing Countries and Cultures with My Father's World curriculum...and loving it. I never thought geography was fun before, but learning the continents this year has been just that. Right now we're on Asia and studying Saudi Arabia. As part of our unit we made hummus yesterday. Or I should say, the kids made hummus....I only advised and supervised.

Even the little ones got in on it. Judah's such a cheeseball.
I may never get them out of the kitchen again....which is just fine with me.
Here's the recipe from the book A Trip Around The World:
15 oz. can of garbanzo beans (save the liquid)
1/2 c. sesame seeds
1 clove garlic, halved
3 T. lemon juice
1 tsp. salt
Directions: Put reserved liquid, sesame seeds, and garlic in blender of food processor and pulse until well mixed. Add beans, lemon juice and salt. Blend until smooth. Serve as a dip with pita bread.
Enjoy!
